BACKGROUND:

Pact Cambodia is currently engaged in several good governance and sustainable livelihood programs, including its Community Forestry Partnership Program which supports a transition to community based forest management.  Pact is currently the Implementing Partner of Cambodia’s first REDD (Reduced Emissions from Deforestation and Degradation) project located in Oddar Meanchey, and is starting work on a similar initiative in Siem Reap.

Pact Cambodia is currently recruiting to fill the position of REDD Project Assistant. The position is based in Phnom Penh with travel to provinces as needed

General Description:

The community forestry REDD Project Assistant reports directly to the Senior Carbon Program Officer as part of a Community Forestry Partnership Program team.  The CF REDD Project Assistant works in close collaboration with other program team member. S/he will apply the Pact code of ethics across all aspects of daily work.

Requirements and Qualifications:

 l Cambodian national
 l Bachelors degree in forestry
 l At least 2 years work experience
 l Good English writing and communication skills
 l Good interpersonal skills and teamwork
 l Experiences in using MS-Word, Excel, PowerPoint
 l Willingness to learn new skills and travel frequently to the provinces
